Community Guidelines

Outfitter Exchange works because buyers and sellers trust each other. These guidelines exist to protect that — read them before you post.

Post Honest Listings

• Use real photos of the actual item you're selling — no stock photos, no photos of a different item.
• Rate the condition accurately (New, Used - Like New, Used - Fair). If it has flaws, say so in the description.
• List items in the correct category. Miscategorizing gear to get more views isn't allowed.

Prohibited Items

• Firearms, ammunition, and other regulated weapons — not permitted on this platform.
• Stolen, counterfeit, or recalled/unsafe items.
• Parts or products from protected or illegally harvested species.
• Anything illegal to sell or ship under federal, state, or local law.

Treat People Right

• No harassment, threats, hate speech, or abusive language toward another user.
• Be honest and responsive when messaging buyers or sellers.
• No spam, scams, or listings posted purely to collect contact information.

Keep Transactions On-Platform

Every sale here is protected by Trustap's escrow-style hold — the buyer's payment is held safely until they confirm the item arrived as described. Asking or agreeing to take a deal off-platform (to avoid the commission or "make it easier") removes that protection for the buyer and isn't allowed.

To keep everyone protected, messages that share phone numbers, email addresses, or payment handles (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, and the like) are automatically flagged for review. Repeatedly trying to move deals off-platform can lead to a suspension or ban.

No Manipulation

• One account per person. Creating additional accounts to get around a suspension or ban isn't allowed.
• No fake reviews — positive or negative — and no offering incentives in exchange for a review.

Ship What You Sell

Sellers are expected to ship promptly once payment is confirmed and provide accurate tracking. Accepting payment and failing to ship is treated as a serious violation.

What Happens If These Are Broken

• First or minor violations may result in a listing being removed, or a temporary account suspension (7 or 30 days).
• Severe or repeated violations result in a permanent ban and removal of all active listings.
• Illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement.
